Joseph Allen Markle

Joseph Allen Markle 26, of Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at York Hospital.

Born June 19, 1996, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Timothy G. Markle of Hanover, PA and Kim M. (Diehl) Bowles and husband Todd of Spring Grove, PA.

Joe was a 2014 graduate of York Vo-Tech, where he studied and excelled at welding.

He was an excellent mechanic and loved working on cars, especially Chevy’s. He actually knew the names of many car parts by the age of 2.

Joe enjoyed collecting knives; flashlights, and pens. He loved quoting movies lines, especially ones by Chris Farley.

Joe’s smile could light up the room, and he was fun to joke with and to be around. 

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Diehl, and his paternal step grandfather Dana Jacobs as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved and adored Joe.

The family will receive friends from 1 -3 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
