Joyce C. Kuhn

Joyce C. Kuhn, 82, of Bonneauville, PA, entered God's eternal care Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, with her loving family by her side. 

Born December 19, 1943, in Admire, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond K. and Elizabeth M. (Lau) Mummert. She was the loving wife of John E. Kuhn, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. 

Joyce was a 1961 graduate of Dover High School.  She was the former owner of the Bonneauville Inn, and previously worked as a cook in the cafeteria of Gettysburg High School for 15 years, and as a machinist at HIMCO.

Joyce was an avid reader, and enjoyed going to yard sales, restoring furniture, painting, traveling, eating out, spending time with her family and friends, and loved her two dogs, Rebel and Rascal.

In addition to her loving husband, John, Joyce is survived by her children, Ashley Melhorn and wife Cathy of Abbottstown, PA, Kimberly Brown and husband Don of Littlestown, PA, Eva Sanders and husband Andrew of Littlestown, PA, and Tony Kuhn of West Virginia; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Daniele, Alex, TJ, Zack, Andrew, Johnny, and Tasha; nine great-grandchildren, Clayton, Chloe, Layla, Dominic, Maddi, Raylee, Lucas, Sophia, and Tod; and four siblings, Deborah A. Reed and husband Charles of Dover, PA, Tina Gross of York, PA, Gregory A. Mummert and wife Donna of Dover, PA, and Clifford S. Mummert and wife Tracy of  Dover, PA.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Craig S. Melhorn and Scott Melhorn; and two siblings, Tonya S. “Toni” Gotwalt and Richard G. Mummert.

Funeral services to celebrate and remember Joyce will be held at 11AM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with Father Benny Jose officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Cemetery, Bonneauville, PA.  A visitation will be held from 10-11AM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at the funeral home.
