Joyce Raubenstine

Joyce A. (Myers) Raubenstine, 94, of Hanover, PA entered into God's eternal care, March 21, 2025, at Spirit Trust Lutheran Village at Utz Terrace Nursing Center. Born Sept 7, 1930, in Littlestown, PA.

She was the daughter of the late Harry W.H. Myers and Grace (Sell) Myers.

Joyce was the loving wife of the late Harold W. Raubenstine with whom she shared 73 years of marriage.

Joyce was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. She taught Sunday School for 25 years at St. Bartholomew Church. She was a member of the Hanover Council of Churches. Joyce helped serve dinners and worked in the clothing bank. One of her favorite hobbies was sewing for families and friends. She taught many 4-H members in the Hanover area to cook, bake, garden, food preservation, and sewing in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. She was a member of the Hanover Homemakers Club. She also helped her husband, Harold, who was a dairy farmer for 44 years.  

Joyce is survived by her children, Dennis H. Raubenstine & wife Karen, Darrell L. Raubenstine & wife Sheila, Karen E. Saum & husband Donald, and son-in-law Randy Nace, 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, & 4 step great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn R. Nace, and a great grandchild, Hailee Ann Renee Nace, and a brother, Mervin Myers.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Joyce’s life will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, with Rev. Faye Snyder officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 to 11 AM, Wednesday, March 26, at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
