Judy A. Wolfe Strevig, 79, of McSherrystown, PA, now Homewood, Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 18, 2025. Born September 6, 1945, in Hanover, PA, the wife of John A. Strevig for 61 years and the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth (Spalding) Wolfe.
Judy was a 1963 graduate of Littlestown High School. She worked for Adams County National Bank and later the Adams County Credit Bureau, the business offices at Littlestown School District, and retiring from South Western School District.
After retirement, she was actively involved in Greg and Lynne’s restaurant and volunteered with Littlestown School District as a teacher’s aide for Elaine Strevig, her sister-in-law, and with kindergarten for many years, and as a secretary for her realtor husband, John. Judy was a member of the Hanover Elks.
Judy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and going to Williamsburg, VA every year.
In addition to her loving husband, John, Judy is survived by two sons, Gregory A. and wife Lynn, of Benton, PA, and Andrew J. and wife Jeannie of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Amanda, and Rebecca; step grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Amira, Celia, Blake, Aubrey, Anthony, Mary, Noah, Kaius, Maya, Riley, and Parker James; step great-grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Ellie, and Michael; a sister, Betty Selby; a brother, Bernie Wolfe and wife Linda of York, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Dan Puz officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
