June E. Dennis

June Dennis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 92.  Born in Canada, she later made Pennsylvania her home, where she built a life filled with faith, love, and laughter.

A devoted Christian, June lived with a kind heart, a strong spirit, and an unshakable faith that guided her through life’s joys and challenges.  She was an active member of her church community, where she found fellowship, purpose, and lifelong friendships.  Her sense of humor could brighten any room, and her warmth made everyone feel welcome.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures – crosswords over morning tea, the companionship of her cherished cats, and a timeless sense of style that reflected her vibrant spirit.  But above all, she loved her family fiercely. She leaves behind four children, Paul (Andreé) Dennis, Shelley (Michael) Quinn, Toby (Melissa) Dennis, and Bruce Dennis; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured beyond measure.  Though our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter, Wendy, and two grandchildren, Addie and Katie.

“For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” -2 Corinthians 5:7-8

Her spirit will live on in the love she gave and the lives she touched.  A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Mark Bowyer officiating.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 2:00PM-2:15PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in June’s memory to Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
