Karen L. Raubenstine

Karen L. Raubenstine, 76, of Hanover, PA, finished her life journey in the very home she helped to build with her husband 47 years ago, on Monday, November 24, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Born August 28, 1949, in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Helen L. (Dickensheets) Baugher.  Karen was the loving wife of Dennis H. Raubenstine with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Karen was a 1967 graduate of South Western High School and a 1972 graduate of the Hanover Practical Nursing Program.  She was an LPN in the ICU and CCU at Hanover Hospital for 44 years until her retirement in 2016.

Karen attended St. Bartholomew’s United Church, ELCA of Hanover, PA.  She was a lifelong Penn State Football and Volleyball fan and enjoyed going to many PSU Bowl Games.

In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her sons, Fredrick Raubenstine and wife Deb, Christopher Raubenstine and wife Andrea all of Hanover, PA, her grandchildren, Kyle Raubenstine of Hanover, PA, Evan Raubenstine of Washington, DC, Jarod Raubenstine of Hanover, PA and Emma Raubenstine of Shiremanstown, PA, and one brother Raymond Baugher, Jr of Shrewsbury, PA.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Hess and Barbara Spera.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Karen’s life will be held 11 AM, Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Bartholomew’s United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, PA, with her Pastor the Rev. Steven E. Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 AM, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the church.
