Karen L. Rebert, 71, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care Sunday, March 29, 2026, at WellSpan York Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born October 29, 1954, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Augustus E. and Delores C. (Colestock) Miller. Karen was the loving wife of Robert A. Rebert with whom she would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on May 20th.
Karen was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, PA, where she was a member of the Women’s Prayer Group, was a member of AARP, and the YMCA.
Karen was a 1972 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. She was an accounting/purchasing clerk at the Hanover Hospital and then also part-time at the Brethren Home.
Karen enjoyed going on bus trips and train rides, she was an avid walker and enjoyed the Caledonia trails. She especially loved attending her grandchildren’s events, and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her loving husband, Robert, Karen is survived by her son, Cody L. Mummert and wife Marcy; her stepchildren, Laura A. Rebert-Cook, Richard H. Rebert and wife Tina, and Robert A. Rebert, Jr. and wife Michele; 11 grandchildren, Olivia, Jayne, Kyle, Jarod, Brandon, Richard, Ryan, Taylor, Skylar, Justin, and Hunter; 6 great-grandchildren, Zoey, Lucas, Ryan, Sophia, Liam, and Ryker; and two sisters, Gail Baker and Barbara Keagy. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Vivian R. Mummert; a sister, Sandy Higgins; and a brother, Augustus Miller, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle Street, New Oxford, PA, with Father Keith M. Carroll as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s U.C.C. Cemetery, New Chester, PA. Following the burial there will be a reception and time to share with friends and relatives at Immaculate Conception School cafeteria behind the church. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8PM, Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
