Kathryn H. Grove

Kathryn H. (Zimmerman) Grove, 73, of Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, at her home.  She was the dedicated wife of Lowell Richard Grove, recently celebrating their 52nd anniversary.

Born in Sarasota, FL, on May 15, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon and Anna (Horning) Zimmerman.  She graduated from Riverview High School, Sarasota, in 1968, and from the Practical Nursing Program in 1972.

Kathryn was a faithful and supportive member of the Hanover Mennonite Church. 

Spending time with her family was a priority, taking her grandchildren to the creek to play, and reading books or playing ping-pong with them.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Lowell; five children, Starla Grove of Hanover, PA; Wendy (Anthony) Weaver of Salem, OH; Sonya (Richard) Rhodes of Columbiana, OH; Ryan (Cheresa) Grove of Dearborn, MI; Wendell (Amanda) Grove of Littlestown, PA; 23 grandchildren, and a sister Esther Burkholder.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Paul, Amos, and Mahlon, Jr. Zimmerman; one sister, Martha Burkholder; and a granddaughter, Tatiana Weaver.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Bair’s Mennonite Church, 6925 York Road, Hanover, PA. Viewings will be held from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the church.  Burial will be in York Road Cemetery.
