Kathy L. Wildasin

Kathy L. Wildasin, 66, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born May 3, 1959, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. Bankert and Norma J. (Weikert) Becker.  Kathy was the loving wife of Daniel L. Wildasin, Sr., with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Kathy was a 1977 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, PA.  She graduated from the Hanover Practical Nursing Program in 1980 with an LPN, and Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD, with an RN in 1990.

Kathy was an RN at UPMC-Hanover Hospital, and then at the SurgiCenter for forty-one years until her retirement in 2021. 

Kathy was a member of the Republican Club and the McSherrystown Moose.

Kathy enjoyed motorcycle riding, going to the beach and on trips to the cabin.  She loved vacationing anywhere there was blue water, being a doting grandmother whenever she could, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Daniel, Kathy is survived by her son, Daniel L. Wildasin, Jr. and wife Olivia of McSherrystown, PA; four grandchildren, Brooks, Bailey, Brady, and Blake; her brother, Alan Bankert and wife Tanya of Spring Grove, PA; and her sister, Karen Hague and husband James of York, PA.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne E. Bankert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael Rothan as celebrant.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 3PM-7PM, Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
