Kenwood L. Cromer, 77, of Glenville, PA, entered God’s eternal care Thursday, February 15, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born September 1, 1946, in Hanover, PA, he was a son of the late Earl A. and Betty J. (Cromer) Groft. Ken was the loving husband of Susan E. (MacAvoy) Cromer with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Ken was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.
Ken earned the rank of Eagle Scout while in boy scouts, and was a 1964 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War.
Ken retired in 2012, with over twenty-eight years of service with Defense Distribution at Susquehanna, New Cumberland, PA. He was a member of the McSherrystown Home Association and the New Oxford Social Club.
He loved the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Steelers, and especially loved any sports his grandchildren participated in.
In addition to his loving wife Susan, Ken is survived by his children, Melissa Klinedinst and husband Mike of Hanover, PA, Stacy Koch and husband Ryan of Benton, PA, and Brooks Cromer and wife Gwen of Fleetwood, PA; nine grandchildren, Ryan Klinedinst, Reagan Hetrick, Brody Hetrick, Colton Cromer, Kaley Cromer, Cane Cromer, Dalton Koch, Aubrey Koch, and Tanner Koch. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Bradley Groft and Patricia (Groft) Ziegler.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. The family will receive friends from 9AM-11AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA, with the Hanover Allied Veteran’s Honor Guard providing Military Honors. The service will be live streamed at www.kenworthyfh.com.
