Kory M. Yelton

Kory M. Yelton, 36, of Charlotte, NC, and formerly of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Born September 7, 1989, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Kevin M. and Melissa A. (Weaver) Yelton of Hanover, PA.

Kory was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA.

Kory was a 2008 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, PA, and California University of PA, with a B.S. in sports management.  He was a team leader in shipping and distribution at Amazon for ten years. 

Kory was an enthusiastic sports fan, and dedicated runner - and proudly completed several marathons, he loved watching and playing many sports.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. 

In addition to his loving parents, Kory is survived by his brother, Steven T. Yelton and Emily of Chincoteague Island, VA, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred A. Weaver and Norma J. (Smith) Weaver, and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Yelton.

A service to celebrate and remember Kory will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 6PM, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Father Cole Mase officiating.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 5PM-6PM, Friday, July 17, 2026, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kory’s name to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Service Center, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
