Larry Reindollar Obituary

Larry Ray Reindollar, 85, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Thursday, July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 17, 1940, in Gettysburg, PA, he was a son of the late Ray Clayton and Dorothy Grace (Miller) Reindollar.  Larry was the beloved husband of Carol Elaine (Jones) Reindollar with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Larry was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, class of 1958. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961-65. After the military, he graduated Cum Laude from the Baltimore College of Commerce, class of 1969, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

In 1970, he began his career with Utz Quality Foods as an office manager. Larry worked at Utz for 32 years with his final position being the Vice President of Finance, retiring in 2002.  He was instrumental in building the financial infrastructure systems to support the growth of Utz Quality Foods.

Larry was a faithful member of New Hope Faith Community Church, where he also served on the finance committee.  He also served as a board member of the H.A.R.T. Center and on the finance committee at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Additionally, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels and AARP Tax Preparation.

Larry was a very humble man who was an all-star athlete. He played basketball while at York Junior College with recognition as MVP by the Pennsylvania Junior College Athletic Assn. for the 1959-60 season. He had significant involvement in his children’s extracurricular activities to include West Manheim Recreation baseball and softball coach, YMCA Indian Guide leader; and Park Hills Packers football coach.

He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.  His favorite memories were Ocean City vacations, time spent with Carol in St. Maarten, and holiday celebrations with family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Carol, Larry is survived by his children, Melissa Carol Hartlaub, of Hanover, PA, Denise Laurel Hockensmith and husband Bryan Hockensmith of Ellicott City, MD, and Chad Andrew Reindollar, of Hanover, PA; four grandchildren, Andrew Hartlaub and wife, Emily, Makenzie Hockensmith and husband, Joseph Alter, Lindsay Hockensmith, and Paige Hockensmith; sisters, Darlene Strausbaugh of Mount Wolf, PA and Dorcas Reindollar of Camp Hill, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David Reindollar and Wayne Reindollar.
