Larry E. “Soup” Zumbrum, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born January 21, 1938, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Harry D. and Hester L. (Yost) Zumbrum. Larry was the loving husband of Judith A. (Wildasin) Zumbrum, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Larry was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.
Larry was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
Larry was a 1956 graduate of the Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA. He retired in 2013 after working 50 years as a self-employed Carpenter. He was a member of the Hanover Exchange Club.
Larry enjoyed camping, hunting and especially loved joking around with his family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Judith, Larry is survived by three grandchildren, Krista, Joseph, and Kaitlyn; two great-grandchildren, Makaelyn Jade and Vance Christopher, Jr.. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith D. “Mutt” Zumbrum in 2015; and his brother James H. Zumbrum.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held 11 Am, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating.
