Lena M. "Lee" Marchsteiner

Lena M. “Lee” Marchsteiner, 96, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Brookside Memory Care Home, New Oxford, PA.

Born August 21, 1927, in Abruzzo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Venturino and Teresa DiPaolo. She was the loving wife of the late John V. Marchsteiner, Sr. who died August 24, 2017.

Lee was a graduate of Eastern High School, Baltimore, MD.  She worked as a secretary at Johns Hopkins University, State Farm Insurance Company, St. Dominic’s Catholic School, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore under Bishop Murphy.

Lee enjoyed sewing, going to the beach, and especially spending time with her family.

Lee is survived by her loving children, Stacie L. James of Hanover, PA, John V. Marchsteiner, Jr of Bel Air, MD, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two siblings, Dino DiPaolo and Faldina “Fudgie” Smith, and many loving in-laws and friends.

Following cremation, services will be held at a later date.
