Leslie E. Yohn

Leslie E. Yohn, 79, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born November 29, 1945, in Mechanicsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Myrtle (Miller) Yohn.  Leslie was the loving husband of Gladys D. (Pittman) Yohn, with whom he would have celebrated 58 years of marriage this November.

Leslie was a member of Harvest Time Temple, Hanover, PA.

Leslie retired from E.C.I. Construction in Dillsburg, PA, as a superintendent, working in construction his entire life.

Leslie loved hunting and fishing, working with his hands, cabinet and furniture making, and building 2 of his own homes with family members. He loved guiding and teaching his son -in -laws and grandsons carpentry.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Gladys, Leslie is survived by two children, Kimberly S. Zumbrum and husband Warren, and Dawn A. Rummel and husband Jeffrey; three grandchildren, Joshua E. Rummel and wife April, Whitney L. Wentz and husband Zack, and Jesse A. Rummel; three great-grandchildren, Malachi A. Hastings, Dentin Wentz, and Maverick E. Rummel; and three siblings, Bonnie Lowman, Glenn Yohn, and Carol Yohn.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail McClellan; and a brother, Earl Yohn, Jr.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Leslie will be held 10AM, Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with his brother, Glenn Yohn and Pastor Fred Mummert officiating.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 2-4PM, Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
