Linwood E. Kehr, 89, of Hanover, beloved husband of Dorothy B. Kehr of 70 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Utz Terrace. He was born September 18, 1936, to the late George C. Kehr and Annie B. (Stauffer) Kehr.
Linwood worked at Cole Steel and retired from York Sheet Metal in 2001. After retirement he enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
Linwood is survived by his wife Dorothy and daughter Jeanette Scheivert and husband Tom of Hanover; grandchildren, Michael Scheivert of Eldersburg, MD and wife Chao, and Ellen Webster and husband Erik of West Henritta, NY; 3 great-grandchildren Bennett and Lila Webster and Lillian Scheivert, and his sister Jessie Mae Riley of Dover.
He was preceded in death by his son Randy A. Kehr and by his brothers Raymond, Glenn, Leroy, Richard, Paul, Donald, and Dean Kehr and sisters Helena Hanigan, Martha Hoover, Margaret Brooks, and Mary Chronister.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 11AM, Friday, November 28, 2025, the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, Friday, November 28, 2025, at the funeral home.
