Lois E. Wetherson

Lois E. Wetherson, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, February 16, 2026, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born October 16, 1933, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Loretta (Schwing) Hamer.

Lois was a 1951 graduate of Dale High School, Johnstown, PA, and attended Theil College.  She was a department head at the George Washington University Medical Center for many years.

Lois loved her family, a true dance Grandma Bunny.

Lois is survived by her children, Lee Ann (Wetherson) Higdon and husband Edward of Hanover, PA, Ronald Wetherson and wife Theresa of Hanover, PA, and Don Wetherson of Gettysburg, PA; 6 grandchildren, Lorrie Wilson (Jesse), Michael Leben (Danielle), Robert Rodriguez (Christina), Christopher Wetherson (Samantha), Ronald Wetherson (Sierra), and Matthew Wetherson; 11 great-grandchildren, Chelsea Bateman, Austin Swartzbaugh, Leah Leben, Alex Leben, Riley Rodriguez, Garrett Wilson, Connor Rodriguez, Ronan Rodriguez, Brooklyn Wetherson, Peyton Wetherson, and Joanna Rae Wetherson; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Bateman and Jacob Bateman.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwayne Hamer and Joseph Hamer.

Following cremation, a Graveside Service will be held at 12PM, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Patriotic Order Sons of America Cemetery, Hooversville, PA.
