Ma. Carmen Alvarado-Díaz, de 59 años, residente de Abbottstown, Pensilvania, recibió el cuidado eterno de Dios el sábado 5 de julio de 2025 en el Hospital WellSpan York, acompañada por su familia.
Nacida el 21 de julio de 1965 en El Rincón del Chino, Michoacán, México, era hija de J. Jesús Díaz y Ma. Trinidad Alvarado-Díaz. Fue la amada esposa de Emiliano García Velázquez, con quien compartió 43 años de matrimonio.
Ma. Carmen era parte de la Iglesia Católica de San José en Hanover, Pensilvania. Trabajó como empacadora en Utz Quality Foods durante más de 20 años.
Disfrutaba cocinar, cantar, bailar y hacer reír a todos. Llevaba alegría a quienes la rodeaban.
Además de su amado esposo, Emiliano, Ma. A Carmen le sobreviven sus hijos Yanet Chagolla, Saúl García Alvarado, Víctor García Alvarado, Lizbeth Amato y Jesús García Alvarado; catorce nietos; tres bisnietos; y tres hermanos, María Alvarado Díaz, Felipe Alvarado Díaz y Gloria Marina Alvarado Díaz. Le precedieron en la muerte dos hermanos, Adán Alvarado Díaz y José Luis Alvarado Díaz.
Se celebrará una misa cristiana este viernes 11 de julio de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica de San José, ubicada en 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, oficiada por el Padre Michael W. Rothan. El entierro se realizará en México a una hora que se anunciará próximamente. Será privado y se realizará a conveniencia de la familia. El velatorio y un momento para compartir recuerdos con la familia se realizarán de 5:00pm a 7:00pm del viernes 11 de julio de 2025 en la iglesia.

Born July 21, 1965, in El Rincon Del Chino, Michoacan, Mexico, she was the daughter of J. Jesus Diaz and Ma. Trinidad Alvarado-Diaz. She was the loving wife of Emiliano Garcia Velazquez with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.
Ma. Carmen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She was a packer at Utz Quality Foods for over 20 years.
She enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, and making everyone laugh. She bought joy to everyone around her.
In addition to her loving husband, Emiliano, Ma. Carmen is survived by her children Yanet Chagolla, Saul Garcia Alvarado, Victor Garcia Alvarado, Lizbeth Amato, and Jesus Garcia Alvarado; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Maria Alvarado Diaz, Felipe Alvarado Diaz, and Gloria Marina Alvarado Diaz. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Adan Alvarado Diaz and Jose Luis Alvarado Diaz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7 PM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael W. Rothan as celebrant. Burial will be in Mexico at a time to be announced. private and at the convenience of the family. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 5PM-7PM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at the church.
