Margaret "Mick" Chrismer Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret “Mick” Chrismer, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on September 22, 2024. Born on November 23, 1949, Mick was a devout Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life.

Mick was the matriarch of a large and loving family, cherished by her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, 12 siblings, and countless nieces and nephews. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she was the cornerstone of strength and unity for all who knew her.

A hardworking and resilient woman, Mick’s life was a testament to the values of perseverance and devotion. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.

Mick was a proud grandmother to Ethan and Logan, a devoted mother to her son Scott and his wife Elissa of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and a loving caretaker to her faithful dog Asher. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Mick was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph the Worker Church in Bonneauville, where her faith and community were central to her life.

She was preceded in death by her father Bernard, mother Anne, and brothers Francis, Tony, Stephen, Kenny and Phillip. She is survived by her siblings Madeline Bowers of Middletown, PA, Timothy, James, Linda, Michael, Patrick, and Richard, all residing in Bonneauville, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 10 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, (Bonneauville), PA with Father Benny Jose as celebrant.  A Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, (Bonneauville), PA.  Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery.
