Marianne Sullivan

Marianne Sullivan, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Pappus House.

Born March 12, 1939, in Jeffersonville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Rose (Henley) McFadden.  She was the loving wife of Donald C. Sullivan, Sr. with whom she would have shared 66 years of marriage on July 4th, 2025.

Marianne attended Jeffersonville High School.  She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served as a photographer.

Marianne was a member of Hanover First Church of God.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Donald, Marianne is survived by her children, Cindy Miller and husband Jerome of Delta, PA, Cheryl Smith and husband Tom of New Oxford, PA, Melana Curry and partner Marc Shearer of Glen Rock, PA, Donald C. Sullivan, Jr. and wife Tammi of McSherrystown, PA, and Crystal Sullivan of Hanover, PA, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one sister, Karen Sprigler and husband Richard of Sellersburg, IN. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marni Sullivan, three grandchildren, Shane Sullivan, Emily Smith, and Holly Smith; and her siblings, Dennis McFadden, Lois Triplett, and Michael McFadden.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-2PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover, PA with Pastor Dan Thomas officiating.  Refreshments will follow the service, in the all-purpose room at the church.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pappus House, 66 Big Mount Road, Thomasville, PA 17364 or to VNA of Hanover/Spring Grove Hospice Services, 440 Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
