Marie Ruth Myers

Marie Ruth Myers, 100, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care Sunday, December 5, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born July 27, 1921 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin L. and Ruth E. (Wentz) Wilson. Marie was the loving wife of the late Joseph W. Myers, with whom she shared nearly 63 years of marriage until his passing on August 20, 2004.

Mrs. Myers was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA

Marie graduated from the Nace’s one-room schoolhouse in West Manheim Township.

Mrs. Myers enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, and spending lots of time with her family.

Marie is survived by her children, David L. Myers of Spring Grove, Judy M. Leese Julia M. Null, Earl J. Myers all of New Oxford, Glenn E. Myers of Wirtz, VA, Gloria Jean Werner of Hanover, Ned A. Myers of Glenville, Raymond H. Myers of Hanover and Joan E. Leese of New Oxford; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and one brother, Carroll Wilson of Hanover. She was preceded in death by one son, William E. Myers, one grandson, Jason A. Myers, one brother, Russell Wilson and one sister, Dorothy Brumgard.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. David's United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Scott A. Sager, officiating. Burial will be in St. David's Church Cemetery in Hanover. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, as well as from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at the church.
