Mark W. Stonesifer, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Friday, June 5, 2026, at Homewood at Plum Creek, with his loving wife by his side.
Born July 25, 1939, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Louise Stonesifer. Mark was the loving husband of Linda (Rahn) Stonesifer, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Mark was a member, and one of the founding members of New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover, PA.
Mark was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA. He was a filter plant operator with P.H. Glatfelter and a member of their Quarter Century Club, until his retirement.
Mark enjoyed fishing, woodworking, tinkering, gardening, and setting up their Christmas Nativity display each year, and he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his granddaughters.
In addition to his wife Linda, Mark is survived by his son, Douglas M. Stonesifer and wife Melanie (Dubs) of Hanover, PA; two grandchildren, Joy Stonesifer and Molly Stonesifer; and a brother, Dennis Stonesifer of York, PA. He was preceded in death by one son, David W. Stonesifer; three sisters, Margaret Baker, Helen Collins, and Catherine Rohrbaugh; and one brother, Charles Stonesifer.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mark will be held 11AM, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor, the Rev. Nathaniel Hedin-Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to New Hope Faith Community Church, 33 Sunday Drive, Hanover, PA 17331, or to Hanover Fire & Rescue, 228 High Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
