Marlin S. Hoover

Marlin S. Hoover, 89, of Spring Grove, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Pleasant Acres Rehab and Nursing Center. 

Born July 13, 1935, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Ernest and Arta (Rohrbaugh) Hoover.  Marlin was the loving husband of Beverly A. (Sipe) Hoover, with whom he shared sixty-nine years of marriage.

Marlin was a member of St. Paul’s Dubs UCC, Hanover, PA.

Marlin was a 1953 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA. He was a milkman with Little’s and Green’s Dairies for a total of forty-six years until his retirement.

Marlin enjoyed hunting and trapping, traveling, he was a collector of many things, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife Beverly, Marlin is survived by his son, Craig A. Hoover of Red Lion, PA; his daughter, Yvette M. Baldwin of Dover, PA; and two grandsons, Jason M. Baldwin and Ryan J. Baldwin.  He was preceded in death by a son, Scott M. Hoover.

A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A graveside service will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marlin’s name to the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area, 3570 Olney Laytonsville Rd #490, Olney, MD 20830.
