Marvin Ray Wheeler, 77, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday May 17, 2023, at The Gardens at Gettysburg.
Born October 29, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Forest & Dorothy Wheeler. He was the loving husband to Dola L. (Gibbs) Wheeler, whom he married on June 6, 1986, and shared almost 37 years.
Marvin attended school in Shreveport. He was a veteran and served his country proudly in the US Army. He was a member of the United Pentecostal church also in Shreveport, LA.
In his free time, Marvin enjoyed playing pool and he loved reading.
In addition to his loving wife Dola, Marvin is survived by his stepdaughter Callie Ginn & her companion Charles Harman of Hanover, PA, 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, all of Hanover and New Oxford. Marvin also leaves behind two sisters, Freddy Bell of Shreveport, LA, and Patsy Clifton of Bossier City, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Marvin was preceded in death by his three other sisters, Virginia Wheelie, Juanita Stuckey, and Betty Lou Wheeler.
Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
