Mary L. Ayers

Mary Lucille Ayers, 76, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehab Center, York, PA, with her loving family by her side.

Born May 10, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Gertrude (Hoffman) Stanley.  Mary was the loving wife of Bobby F. Ayers, Sr., with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Mary retired from Master Brand Cabinets, Inc., with over thirty years of service.  She was a member of HOG of York, PA (Harley Owners Group), and the Littlestown Eagles FOE #2226.

Mary loved riding Harleys, traveling, and going to Daytona Beach.  She loved flowers, hummingbirds, taking photos of things she loved, and spending time with her friends and family. 

Mary is survived by her sons, Robert M. Ayers (Tara) and Bobby F. Ayers, Jr. (Lindsay); six grandchildren, Kyle Ayers, Stephanie Ayers, Jared Ayers, Brandan Ayers, Hannah Ayers, and Dakota Ayers; four great-grandchildren; and five siblings, August Stanley, Elizabeth Vansant, David Stanley, Michael Stanley, and Theresa Windisch.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert M. Stanley.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held to celebrate and remember Mary from 4:00-6:00PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
