Mary Ann (Leister) Wentz

Mary Ann Wentz, 91, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care Friday, June 21, 2024 at Westminster Healthcare Center, Westminster, MD.

Born November 6, 1932, in Lovettsville, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Alva and Corinne (Butler) Leister.

Mary Ann graduated high school in 1949, and she went on to work for Random House in Westminster, MD, retiring after 23 years of dedicated service.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.

Mary Ann enjoyed dancing, roller skating, taking weekend bus trips with Donna, Katie and Mary, visiting auction houses throughout the area with her husband, Ed, and her endless attempts to “try” to grow tomatoes.

Mary Ann leaves behind her children and her step-son, Dale D. Dull of Hanover, PA, Donna D. Darr and husband, Bo of New Windsor, MD, David D. Dull and wife, Annette of Germany, Randy A. Wentz and wife Christine of Hanover, PA; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.  In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by husband, Edgar L. Wentz on December 5, 2010.

To honor Mary Ann’s wishes, all services will be private.  Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann’s name to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1214 Broadway, Hanover, PA  17331.
