Mary Dee Moore, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at her home.
Born July 27, 1929, in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Mary H. (North) Stoudt. Mary was the loving wife of the late Wilbur L. "Bill" Moore with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing on April 2, 2014.
Mrs. Moore was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA.
Mrs. Moore was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School, Emmitsburg, MD. She worked as a bookkeeper at Towson Travel, Towson, MD for 20 years until her retirement. She also was a Cub Scout den mother for many years while her sons were in scouting.
Mrs. Moore enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, reading and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her sons, William L. Moore of Eldersburg, MD, Christopher P. Moore of Union Mills, MD, her daughters, Chari Russell of Westminster, MD, and Holley E. Griffin of Hanover, PA, her nine grandchildren, Julie Harwood, Lindsay Dell, Nick Moore, Alex Moore, Emily Niner, Christopher Moore, Eric Griffin, twins, Cody and Caitlin Moore, and her eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James M. Moore.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mary’s life will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, PA, With Father Samuel Miller officiating.. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1-2 PM, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Cancer Research Institute, 29 Broadway, Floor 4, New York, NY 10006-3111.
