Michael P. Braunschweiger Sr, 66, of Shallotte, NC but formerly of Hanover PA, passed away unexpectedly at the University of Maryland Medical Center Saturday December 18th, 2021.
Born March 17, 1955 in Arbutus, MD he was the son of the late Helen and Bud Braunschweiger. Mike was the loving husband of the late Wanda Braunschweiger (Shepherd) whom he was married to all his life until her untimely passing in 2001.
Mike was a graduate of Lansdowne High School where he pitched his heart out for baseball. He worked for BPS and Fleck machinery for many years where he was the Tool Room Manager until his retirement in 2019. He was well respected due to his integrity and amazing work ethic that he showcased all his life.
Mike enjoyed golfing, baseball, football, the beach, the love of music and above all, making memories with his friends and family with whom he cherished.
Mike is survived by his three children, his daughter Christina Ruth and husband Brian of Knoxville, TN. his daughter Jennifer Riggin and husband Rodney of York New Salem, PA and his son Michael P. Braunschweiger Jr of Hanover, PA; nine grandchildren, Carl and Gabe Morales, Allison and Micah Ruth, Madison, Kayden and Logan Riggin, Brady and Michael Braunschweiger III; his brother-in-law, James Langley III and his wife Patty, brother-in-law Will Shepherd and many nieces and nephews along with a ton of friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers William (Bill) Braunschweiger, James (Jim) Braunschweiger and his sister Linda Lesniewski of Shallotte, NC, brother-in-law Anthony Langley, Eugene Shepherd, sister-in-law Linda Fitzgerald.
Mike was loved by everyone who met him. His soft-spoken nature and huge kind heart were felt immediately. He had a way to add humorous sarcasm to any situation for a guaranteed laugh. He will be missed beyond measure from everyone who knew him.

Mike did not like formal services as this focused on their death and not the life that a person lived so by his request, A Celebration of Life is being planned for January 15, 2022 to celebrate his life and share memories with all those who loved him deeply.
