Michael Anthony Culp, Sr., 79, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Sunday, March 24, 2024, at home with his loving wife by his side.
Born March 16, 1945, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late T. Earl Jr. and Mary C. (Rutters) Culp. Mike was the loving husband of Kay F. (Meckley) Culp with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Mike was a graduate of Eichelberger High School class of 1963. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.
Mike retired from Columbia Gas with over 32 years of service.
Mike was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed going for rides with his wife, crossword puzzles, and listening to the oldie’s music of the 60’s. He loved spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mike was a former member of the McSherrystown Home Association, the Hanover Republican Club, and the McSherrystown Moose.
In addition to his wife, Kay, Mike is survived by his children, Michael Culp, Jr. and wife Denise of Spring Grove, PA, Craig Culp of New Oxford, PA, Marisa Culp of Hanover, PA, Ron Wolford and wife Jackie of New Oxford, PA, Stacey Stevens and fiancée Frankie Boyle of Hanover, PA, Deanna Markle and husband Jim of Hanover, PA, and Ryan Storm of Hanover, PA, 13 grandchildren, Justin, Adam, Bryce, Ally, Nichole, Natasha, Ron, Lily, Emily, Hunter, Hannah, Addison, and Davaughn, and two great grandchildren, Raelynn and Odin. He was preceded in death by a grandson Nathan, and two brothers, T. Earl Culp, III and Jason Culp.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail providing Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
