Michael S. Peterson, Jr.

Michael “Mikey” Scott Peterson, Jr., 24, of Hanover, PA passed away suddenly on Thursday October 19th, 2023. Born on April 30th, 1999, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Kristine (Baker) & Mike Hull and Michael & Jenny (Houck) Peterson.

Mikey graduated from Hanover High School in 2017 and currently was employed at TGI Friday’s in Gettysburg, PA. He loved animals, adventure, nature, and video games. An outgoing, free-spirit, Mikey was a laid back, yet fiercely loyal, young man who valued and cherished his family, above all else. He always did his best to set a good example and to be a positive role model for his siblings and cousins, while never telling them no if they wanted to play. He was always the biggest kid at heart.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers; Steven Henderson of Dillsburg, PA, Leland Houck of Abbottstown, PA, Zachary Corbin of Hanover, PA, and Aaron Hull of Hanover, PA , four sisters; Kaitlyn Smith and husband Tom of Custar, OH, Dahlia Houck-Peterson of Abbottstown, PA, Shannon (Garman) Bagrowski of Berlin, MD, and Desiree Hull of York, PA, maternal grandparents; Nancy Crushong of Abbottstown, PA & Donna Long of Hanover, PA, paternal grandparents, Laurie (Peterson) Sheetz and Partner Damien Miller of McSherrystown, PA, Scott Sheetz of Stewartstown, PA, Joanne & Edward Mayne of Westminster, MD, and Dave Houck of Dalmatia, PA, numerous aunts & uncles, cousins, and his beloved fur-babies, Tyson and Togo.  

He was predeceased in death by grandfathers Robert Gully, Richard Crushong, & William Hull.

The family will receive visitors on Friday October 27th, 2023, from 3-6pm with a service to immediately follow, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
