Michael Shultz Obituary

Michael L. Shultz, Sr., 61, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland. 

Born April 12, 1960, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the loving son of Albert O. and June (Speelman) Shultz of Hanover, PA.  Michael was the loving husband of Tina M. (Therit) Shultz with whom he shared thirty-two years of marriage.

Michael was a truck driver and was formerly employed by Hain Pure Protein for twenty years.

Michael was a member of the New Oxford Social Club.  He was an avid softball player for twenty years, and a little league baseball coach for thirty years.  Michael enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was younger and was a loving and devoted father.

In addition to his loving wife, Tina, Michael is survived by four sons, Michael Shultz, Jr. of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, Christopher Shultz, Hunter Shultz, and Zachary Shultz, all of New Oxford, PA; his stepchildren, Dennis Treadway of New Oxford, PA, Crystal Treadway of York, PA, and Alisha Wonder of New Oxford, PA; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerome Shultz of Hanover, PA, and Dwayne Shultz of New Oxford, PA. 

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Michael’s life will be held 7 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the funeral home.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA.
