Michael B. Mowery

Michael B. Mowery, 82, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s Eternal care on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at UPMC West Shore Hospital.

Born November 29, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Maxie and Roberta (Herr) Mowery.

Michael was a graduate of Baltimore City College High School and received his associate’s degree from the International Culinary Arts Institute.  He worked as a chef and in the transportation and shipping industry until his retirement in 2006.

Michael is survived by his siblings, Kenneth P. Mowery and wife Charlene of Sykesville, MD, Jeannine L. Hamilton and husband Bill of Hampstead, MD, Charlene M. Stratton of Littlestown, PA, and Maxine M. Michaelides and husband John of Hanover, PA, many nieces and nephews, as well as his cat, Charlotte, whom he affectionately referred to as “Baby Girl”.

A Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A graveside service will be held 1 PM, Thursday May 22, 2025, at Druid Ridge Cemetery,  7900 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD.
