Myrtle C. Welty

Myrtle C. Welty, 93, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born October 24, 1930, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Margaret (Becker) Eichelberger. Myrtle was the loving wife of the late Merle E. Welty who passed away on February 13, 1992.

Myrtle was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.

Myrtle was a 1948 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA.  She was a hairdresser for many years.

Myrtle was a member of the Republican Club. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to Atlantic City, painting ceramics, bowling in various leagues, and spending time with her family.

Myrtle is survived by a sister, Vicki Moomaw of Mt. Wolf, PA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Eichelberger; and a sister, Blanche Casseday.

A graveside service to celebrate and remember Myrtle will be held 9 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Katrina Holland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Myrtle to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
