Nadine (Chronister) Simpson, 96, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA.
Born April 4, 1922 in New Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis E. and Cora A. (Freed) Chronister. She was the wife of the late Allen A. Simpson who died July 5, 1999.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA. She was a 1940 graduate of York Springs High School.
Nadine worked at Doubleday, the former Serv-O-Mation and did various store work until her retirement.
Nadine loved animals and reading. She especially enjoyed her cats.
Nadine is survived by one brother, Walter F. Chronister of Mechanicsburg, PA; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, C. William Chronister, John C. Chronister, Chester E. Chronister, Frederick C. Chronister, and Curtis W. Chronister; and three sisters, Helen A. Chronister, Dorothy M. Weaver, and Ethel M. Altland.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Nadine’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
