Nancy Alice (nee: Ake) Riebling went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ Friday morning September 9, 2022.
She was born on August 12, 1938, in Fayetteville, NC, to the late John Walter and Nancy Ann (Nee: Hall) Ake.
She was married to Robert R. Riebling, Sr., for 64 years at the time of his passing on March 11, 2018. They met when Bob was stationed at Ft. Bragg Army Base, and married January 7, 1954.
Nancy was a loving and devoted Mother, MamMaw and great MamMaw. She leaves behind one son, Bob and Ann (Klunk) Riebling, Jr. of Littlestown, PA, Cheryl D. and Steve McMaster, Hanover, Kimberly A. Riebling, Littlestown, Laurie and Dick DeGroft, Jr., Littlestown, and Nancy S. (Suzy) Riebling, Littlestown.
She was a devoted MamMaw to Erin (McMaster) and Jason Hankey, Rachael (DeGroft) and Mike Glorioso, Emily (DeGroft) and Luke Diehl, Katie (McMaster) and Chris Fake, Daniel and Brittany (Shaffer) DeGroft, Jed Riebling, Jake Riebling, and Joe Riebling.
Nancy was Great MamMaw to Micah Glorioso, Eli Diehl, Logan DeGroft, Rocco Hankey, Charlotte Fake, Maisie Glorioso, Connor DeGroft, Ben Diehl Adalynn DeGroft, Layla DeGroft, Isaac Fake, and Lola Hankey.
Mom will be remembered fondly for her love of the Lord and her Godly Example. She found great comfort in reading her Bible.
Mom will also be remembered as a wonderful cook. She loved hosting the family with big holiday meals. She also loved working in her gardens and flower beds.
She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Izzy Glorioso; and siblings, Lois Hobson, George S. Ake, Sr., John W. Ake, James R. Ake, and Walter Ake.
We will always love and remember Mom; we praise God for the many years we were blessed to have Mom!
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Nancy will be held 2 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Bill Mummert officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1-2 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
