Nancy L. Myers

Nancy L. Myers, 75, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Monday, February 3, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born October 7, 1949, in New Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Louise M. (Becker) Reck.  Nancy was the loving wife of Joseph R. Myers, Sr., with whom she shared fifty-seven years of marriage. 

Nancy was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown, PA, and served on the BINGO committee.

Nancy retired in 2012, having worked as an administrative assistant and in the sales department of The Evening Sun for thirty-seven years.

Nancy enjoyed spending time at their cabin, camping, going on family beach trips, and loved spending time with her family and her golden retriever. 

In addition to her loving husband, Joseph, Nancy is survived by two sons, Joseph R. Myers, Jr. and wife Maria of Hanover, PA, and Scott A. Myers and wife Brenda of New Oxford, PA; two grandchildren, Kasey E. Martz and husband Joseph of New Windsor, MD, and Ashley N. Myers of New Oxford, PA; one great-grandson, Oliver V. Martz of New Windsor, MD; and a half-sister, Pearl Yoho.  She was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Harold C. Becker; and five half-sisters, Rosella Slouthour, Louise Slothour, June Lowe, Jane Rice, and Hazel Scott.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Annunciation, BVM Catholic Church, 26 North 3rd Street, McSherrystown, PA, with Father Richard Lyons as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6PM-8PM, Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA., with prayers at 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the Hanover Fire Museum, 124 E. Hanover Street, Hanover, PA 17331, or to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
