Nancy Lou Yingling, 86, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.
Born June 25, 1938, in Littlestown, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence D. Sr., and Nellie B. (Miller) Huff. Nancy was the loving wife of Sidney J. Yingling, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage in February 2025.
Nancy worked for over 30 years at Giant Grocery Store in Gettysburg, PA, first in the meat department and later as a cashier. After retirement she worked part time at the Village Outlets in Gettysburg for many years.
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed going to lunch with her friends and she loved to go shopping.
Nancy was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown, PA
In addition to her loving husband Sid, Nancy is survived by two children, Cindy L. Yingling of New Oxford, PA, and Craig L. Yingling and wife Connie of Gettysburg, PA. Nancy also leaves two grandchildren, Jackie Pfursich and her husband Ed, Chad Yingling and his wife Jen, and four great grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by three furry grandchildren, Shiloh, Sophie, and Nellie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Lynne Yingling who died December 29, 2023. Nancy was also preceded in death by all her siblings, Floyd Huff, Lawrence “Jim” Huff, Jr., Paul Huff, Spencer Huff, Larry Huff, Earl Huff, June Harman, Marian “Suz” Hockensmith, and Janet Huff.
Following cremation, a service to celebrate and remember Nancy’s life will be held 7 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325, with Pastor Scott A. Sager officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be from 5:30 - 7 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and in St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery, Littlestown, PA.
