Norma (Potter) Stambaugh

Norma (Potter) Stambaugh, age 84 of Spring Grove, PA, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023, at her home.  She was the loving wife of Norman E. Stambaugh with whom she just celebrated 68 years of marriage on January 16th.

Norma was born in Mitchell County, NC, on March 15, 1938, and was the daughter of the late James and Louise (Mosley) Potter.  She had worked at SKF before going into home healthcare.  Norma was a talented artist working in oils and watercolors.  She also enjoyed gardening.

Besides her husband, Norma is survived by one daughter Cindy Reese and husband Mark of McSherrystown, and her granddaughters, Heather Hockensmith and husband Ben of Hanover and Amber Miller of McSherrystown, 3 great-grandchildren Hayden and Ella Hockensmith of Hanover and Ian Riley of McSherrystown.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearl Bosley, Wilma Young, Patricia Herrick and Sally Mummert, and brothers John and Jesse Potter.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Norma will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Jason Myers officiating.  Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00PM, Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the funeral home.
