Odelia A. “Dill” Hilbert, 80, of Spring Grove, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born May 25, 1945, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Katherine M. (Hemler) Adams. Odelia was the loving wife of William C. Hilbert with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Dill was a 1963 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Lancaster, PA.
She was a Registered Nurse at Hanover Hospital, then in the sub-acute unit at The Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA, before finishing her nursing career at Health South in York.
Dill was a loving and caring person who touched many lives through her journey in this world, both personally and professionally.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She loved traveling to National Parks, hiking in the mountains and was an animal lover. She also spent time volunteering in different capacities.
In addition to her husband William, Dill is survived by her children, Joanne L. Campbell and husband Kirk of Hanover, PA, Michael W. Hilbert and partner Dawn Barber of Spring Grove, PA, and Mark A. Hilbert of Hellam, PA, her granddaughter, Marisa Hilbert of Hellam, PA, her sister, Kathleen Adams of Hanover, PA, her sister-in-law, Ruth Wright of McSherrystown, PA, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Staub.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael Rothan as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 12 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the church. Burial will be private and in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
