Olivia G. Bortner

Olivia G. Bortner, 17, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Thursday, January 9, 2025, at her home.

Born January 7, 2008, in Millersburg, OH, she was the loving daughter Nichole L. (Geigan) Bortner and of the late Benjamin P. Bortner.

Olivia was a junior in the Lincoln Edge online program at South Western High School, Hanover, PA. 

Olivia was a member of Wellspring Wesleyan Church, Hanover, PA. 

Olivia enjoyed playing the piano, singing and dancing, figure skating, and attending her church youth group.  Olivia had a good sense of humor, she was hilarious and liked to make people laugh.  She loved to compliment strangers and do special things for family and friends.

Olivia is survived by three siblings, Alexis Peters, Elijah Bortner, and Isaiah Bortner; her paternal grandparents, Dwight B. Bortner and wife Lori L., and A. Cecilia Gilbert and husband Daniel R.; and maternal grandparents, Gene Geigan and wife Dawn, and Karen Thomas and husband Dave.    

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Olivia will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Wellspring Wesleyan Church, 127 Hickory Lane, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.  Visitations and times to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10:00AM-11:00AM, Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the church.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
