Pamela J. Vingsness, 66, of New Oxford, PA, found her everlasting peace and entered God’s eternal care Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Cross Keys Village where she resided for the past four years.
Born April 16, 1959, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Arlayne Lewis. Pamela was the loving wife of Billy D. Wellborn, Jr. with whom she shared eleven years of marriage and was previously married to the late Ronald A. Vingsness, who died February 21, 2009.
Pamela was a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelors in English. Her time living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her family were formative years being surrounded by the beauty of nature and serenity.
Rooted and dedicated to her faith in God, Pamela moved with her family to Gettysburg PA to attend the Lutheran Theological Seminary. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, PA, for twenty-eight years where she often volunteered and attended bible study.
Pamela lived her life with joy and heart. Her big smile and enthusiasm were infectious. She enjoyed traveling, new adventures, being outdoors, art, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband Billy, Pamela is survived by her children, Jeremiah M. Vingsness and Rachel A. Vingsness and her stepchildren, Jacinta R. Wellborn, Billy D. Wellborn III, and Gregory J. McMaster. Also, three grandchildren, Beau, Stevie, and Dixon, and one step grandchild, Kaylee and finally her two sisters, Sue Lewis and Krista Lewis-Bissell.
A service to celebrate and remember Pamela will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, 30 Chambersburg Street, Gettysburg, PA, with both her pastor the Rev. Scott Zimmerer officiating and longtime friend Rev. Ann Dentry preaching. A luncheon will immediately follow the service and is open to all family and friends.
