Patricia Anne Hoover

Patricia Anne (Wilt) Hoover was born to Rozella C. (Barnhart) and Leroy J. Wilt on April 7, 1949. She went to be with Jesus on May 27, 2026, passing away peacefully in her sleep. Pat lived a full life, growing up in Hanover, PA. She attended Delone High School when she met her future husband. Together at a young age, the family moved to Johnstown, PA, where she was not afraid to load up her 4 children and go shopping, go to playgrounds, and have many adventures at home. She served as a Boy Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a Catholic Education teacher, and various other roles raising her children. Pat cherished her life in Johnstown and the many dear friends she made there, and has kept throughout her years.

In 1980, she and her family moved back home to the Hanover area where she worked selling dresses at the Tailored Lady and held her favorite job as a nanny to two different families continuing her love of raising children. She also established a strong group of women who gathered regularly for Bible study and were faithful friends to the end of her life on Earth.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ron and is survived by her children Joe and his wife Deb, Bill, Theresa (her caregiver in her final years), and Karen, as well as her grandson Mahlon Bender, and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. 

She was deeply loved and  will be missed by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, June 8, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A visitation to greet the family will be held from 10-11 AM.
