Patricia M. Meckley

Patricia M. Meckley, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Born May 13, 1932, in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Loretta (Lutter) Wilt.  She was the loving wife of the late Dennis C. Meckley with whom she shared 33 years of marriage until his passing on February 19, 1986.

Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, where she was a Greeter, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and member of the National Council of Catholic Women.

Patricia worked at Utz Quality Foods for over 14 years as a packer until her retirement.

Patricia is survived by two children, Victoria F. Collins and husband Gary of Hanover, PA and Wayne D. Meckley of Ft. Worth, TX, 3 grandchildren, Joshua Meckley and wife Jennifer, Jacob Meckley, and Katherine Fletcher and husband Timothy, three great grandchildren, Nolan Meckley, Benjamin Meckley, and Audrey Fletcher, one sister, Jeanine Strickhouser, and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bernard C. Wilt, Richard C. Wilt Theresa Wilt and Dolores Reichart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5225 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael Rothan                  as celebrant.  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation will be held from 10 -11 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the church.
