Pauline N. "Polly" Rummel

Pauline N. “Polly” Rummel, 92, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Hanover Hall Nursing Center with her loving family by her side.    

Born October 3, 1932, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy L. and Edna (Bixler) Stair.  Pauline was the loving wife of the late Cyril E. “Buck” Rummel who passed away January 29, 2003.

Pauline was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd, Hanover, PA.

Pauline was a florist with Cremer’s Florist, Hanover, PA, for thirty years until her retirement.  She was a member of the Hanover Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered with the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary for over twenty-seven years.

Pauline loved gardening, making floral arrangements, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Pauline is survived by two daughters, Cynthia G. Spangler of Hanover, PA, and Susan I. Sanders of York, PA; three grandchildren, Angela Dubien, Stephanie Perago, and Matthew Auchey; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Dubien, Megan Dubien, Emily Perago, and Erin Perago; and one sister, Edna Dutterer.  She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Delma M. Rynard, Leroy E. Stair, Sterling G. Stair, Guy Stair, Mildred Albaugh, Margaret Kaltreider, and Ruth Utz.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Pauline will be held 11:00AM, Thursday      November 21, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Jeffrey C. Reaver officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline’s name to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 231 E. North Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
