Raymond E. Eiker, 77, of Spring Grove, PA, entered God’s eternal care Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born October 5, 1947, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late John J. and Ruth G. (Shultz) Eiker. Raymond was the loving husband of Dawn Myers-Eiker, with whom he shared 6 years of marriage.
Raymond was a veteran and served his country proudly as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Raymond retired from the Gettysburg Area School District, as a custodian with over 30 years of service.
Raymond was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Gettysburg Eagles, New Oxford Social Club, McSherrystown Moose, NRA, Adams County Fish & Game Association, and the East Berlin Fish & Game Association. He was a life member of the Gettysburg Fire Department and the Barlow Fire Department, and also a member of the United Hook & Ladder.
Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to local bands, and was a drummer in various bands for the past 60 years. He loved spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his loving wife, Dawn, Raymond is survived by his children, Melissa A. Keefer and husband Stephen, Christopher A. and wife Gail, and Holly R. Reese, all of Gettysburg, PA, Ryan E. and wife Kristi of Biglerville, PA, and Jason L. and wife Kari of Littlestown, PA; 5 grandchildren, Chloe Reese, Makenzie Eiker, Landon Eiker, Nathan Keefer, and Brynlee Eiker; and one step-grandson, Caden Kessel. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Callen and Brayden Keefer.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Raymond will be held 11AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 66 E. Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with the Rev. Jason Laughman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the funeral home.
