Reda May Garvick, 95, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born September 22, 1930 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leslie M. and Helen R. (Eckard) Bechtel. Reda was the loving wife of the late Lavern E. Garvick with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing on June 12, 2011.
Reda retired from SKF in 1996 after 30 years of service as a quality control inspector.
Reda enjoyed playing cards, Sudoku, Bible studies, and spending time with her family and friends.
Reda is survived by three children, Marlin L. Garvick and wife Sally of Hanover, PA, Gregory A. Garvick and wife Marquette of Spring Grove, PA, and Diane L. Little of Hanover, PA, 4 grandsons, Benjamin Homan, Jason Homan, Michael Garvick, and Ashley Garvick, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Wilbur M. Bechtel of Littlestown, PA.
A service to celebrate and remember Reda's life will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hanover, PA, with Pastor John Harling officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM, Friday, March 13, 2026, at the funeral home.
Serving as casketbearers will be Reda's grandsons, Benjamin and Jason Homan, Michael and Ashley Garvick, Noah and Sam Homan.
