Reginald E. Miller, 96 of Hanover, PA, entered God’s Eternal Care on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Columbia Cottage Nursing Center, with his loving family by his side.
Born June 8, 1928, in Marburg, PA, he was the son of the late Clinton H. and Hattie M. (Garrett) Miller. Reg was the loyal husband of the late Mary J. (Smith) Miller with whom he shared 71 years of marriage until her passing on January 4, 2021.
Reg was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, as well as the Grandview Seniors, and the Holy Name Society at the church. He was a member of The Hanover Exchange Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Jefferson AARP, and several other organizations.
Reg worked for the Hanover Shoe for 47 years as a V.P. of Manufacturing. He was also President of the Central PA Shoe and Leather Association. He recently donated many of his Memorabilia to the Hanover Historical Society.
Reg devoted his life to Mary and his family.
Reg is survived by his children, Stephen J. Miller and wife Laura of CA, Michael G. Miller and wife Elaine, Deborah A. Barnes and husband Robert all of Hanover, PA, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother Richard W. Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael Rothan as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, as well as from 10-11 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Reg’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Barnes, Mick Peake, Mark Leonard, Seth Leonard, Joel Miller, Ryan Miller, and Ben Alvarez.
