Ricci James Rowland, 71, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, October 10, 2025, at UPMC Memorial Hospital, York, PA.
Born March 7, 1954, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Alvin and Kathryn (Dubbs) Rowland. Ricci was the loving husband of Judith L. (Freshwater) Rowland with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Ricci was a graduate of New Oxford High School Class of 1972. Ricci was a dedicated employee at Utz Quality Foods for 40 years. The first 33 years as a route-sales supervisor and the past 7 years worked as a tow motor operator. Prior to becoming ill, Ricci was still working 12 hr. days.
Ricci cherished the times he spent with his friends and family. He was always a positive, uplifting person who always had a smile on his face and never complained. Ricci was a very loyal, caring person with a heart of gold doing anything he could for those in his circle and certainly many who just needed help.
Ricci enjoyed having a well-manicured yard and decorating for Christmas. As his eyes had that bright, positive light he made sure his property at Christmas time was perfectly done with lots of lights and décor that lit up as bright and beautiful as this reflected Ricci’s personality, heart and soul.
Ricci was an avid NASCAR fan (which is a huge understatement) and collector of anything NASCAR related. He cherished all the times he went to the races with his pals traveling to many different NASCAR Races/Tracks. Ricci enjoyed going to the flea market where he was always on the hunt to find NASCAR treasures and made many friends.
In addition to his loving wife Judith, Ricci leaves behind two stepsons, Paul Myers, Jr. and Rick A. Myers of New Kensington, PA; a number of step grandchildren; and his brother Dayne Rowland (Linda), many nephews and nieces, and many friends. As well as his beloved Pomski “Brianna”. He was proceeded in death by brothers Ron L. Rowland, William Rowland, Alvin Rowland, Jr., Ted Rowland, and his sister Carole Lee Meckley and his nephew Dayne Rowland
Ricci was a member of the Hanover Home Association, the New Oxford Social Club, and the McSherrystown Home Association.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 3PM, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 2-3PM, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the funeral home.
