Richard "Dick" C. Cooledge

Richard “Dick” Calvin Cooledge, 89, of Hanover, PA entered God’s eternal care on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Born July 4, 1933, in Maywood, IL, Dick was son to the late Marshall Miller and Margaret Evelyn (Kucera) Cooledge. He was the loving husband to Barbara A. (Heerich) Cooledge with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Dick graduated class of 1951 from Westfield High School in Westfield, NJ. He later attended Colgate University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He was also a champion swimmer.

Richard worked as a sales manager in the United States and of the European area of Revere Copper & Brass and retired in June of 1995 after 40 years of loyal service.

Dick was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA.

In addition to his loving wife, Barbara, Dick is survived by two daughters, Margaret Kathleen (Cooledge) Eisenhut of Mohawk, NY, and Karen Ann (Cooledge) Rogers of Hampstead, MD. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bob” L. Cooledge.

Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Homewood at Plum Creek Retirement Community, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
