Richard L. Brehm, 79, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born August 1, 1946, in Westminster, MD, he was the son of the late Ralph W. and Meriam (Hood) Brehm. Richard was the loving husband of Betty Mae (Anderson) Brehm, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Richard was a veteran, and served his country proudly in the United States Army, as a Sergeant and member of the Special Forces, Green Beret during the Vietnam War.
Richard was a 1966 graduate of South Western High School.
Richard was a member of the VFW of Spring Grove, PA, the Hanover Eagles #1406, the Hanover AMVETS Post #22, and Moose Lodge #948 Charles Town, WV.
Richard enjoyed hunting, golfing – especially with his friends, James Miller, Steve Hartlaub, and Gary Bond, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Betty, Richard is survived by his children, Dr. Michael Brehm of Millbury, MA, Amy Feeser of New Oxford, PA, and Sherry Phillips of McSherrystown, PA; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Feeser, Evangeline Feeser, Cassandra Feeser, and Zayne Weaver; 1 great-grandchild, Lucas Weaver; his siblings, Donna Auchey, Carol Clousher, Sonia Sabo, Timothy Brehm, and Randy Brehm. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Amos Daniel Feeser; and a sister, Judy Babb.
Following cremation, a Graveside Service will be held 11AM, Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the Sanctuary at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA, with Military Honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail.
